POV shots

"POV Shot" - POV shots stands for Point of view shot. It is a short film scence , that shows what a character (the subject) is looking at (representing through the camera) . Point of view shots make us feel more involved in the scences of films / tv programmes , and as if we are that chacter , and what they see .

In this first photograph the POV shot is the rollecoaster. In this scence the Point of view shot is the person who is on rollacost, going down the ride. The director is making us feel as if we are that person to make us feel part of the ride and the emotion with it.

Thos picture is showing a scene from a horroe film. The PO\v shot nis the person in the bath. As the viwers will see the sillhouette of the person/.

Cutaway:

cutaway shots is interruption of a continuously filmed action by inserting a view of something else.. for example they are used in soaps to show the different characther in the scene. This is used for examples like Eastenders - Kat & Alfie in the pub than in the cafe with Phil and Ben Mitchell than back to the pub . It used within a routine which is editited to one shot to another / a scence to another.Almost it is the most common uses in dramatic films, to adjust the pace of the main action, to conceal the deletion of some unwanted part of the main shot, or to allow the joining of parts of two versions of that shot. For example, a scene may be improved by cutting a few frames out of an actor's pause. Cutaways are also used often in older horror films in place of special effects. For example, a shot of a zombie getting its head cut off may, for instance, start with a view of an axe being swung through the air, followed by a close-up of the actor swinging it, then followed by a cut back to the now severed head

Above the is a link of  an example of a cutaway shot of the drama of inspector morse.  In the time 00.42.10 they are  having a conversation with inspector moss 00.42.22 cuts to a picture to a girl in the middle to talking the younger males characters. Then the shot cuts back to inspector morse talking to someone .THis is is an example of a cutaway shot its shown in action with the video.

This is an another  example of a cataway shots as its cutting away from the shot to make a designed shot.
